This facility-based program offers work development skills. Many local businesses partner with ICW in an effort to provide a worthwhile service to the business community, while providing individuals with realistic paid work experiences that help develop appropriate work skills and habits.

Community Participation Support - Vocational Skills Building
Culinary Prep:
This vocational skill building class focuses on a wide range of proper food preparation, kitchen/food storage safety, understanding nutritional facts, and making/budgeting healthy meal choices. This class is intended to support individuals working to attain goals of independent living and/or careers in the restaurant/hotel industry. This class can also be tailored to assist an individual's desire to become ServSafe certified.
Janitorial Training:
This hands-on vocational skill building class offers practical work experience (while earning minimum wage) to individuals working to attain goals of employment in the janitorial field.
Individualized Training:
This vocational skill building class can be tailored to an individual's career interests and/or broader areas in which the individual chooses to gain knowledge and skills.

Community Participation Support - Community
This community-based program is intended to facilitate long term, sustainable relationships, activities, and engagement with others in the community. Services are provided in a variety of integrated community locations that offer opportunities for individuals to achieve personally identified goals for developing employment skills, community inclusion, involvement, exploration, and for developing and sustaining a network of positive natural supports. *This service can be offered without participation in facility-based programming.
